Well, here we are 2020, who would’ve thought it would come round so quickly. As we welcome in the new year it is time to start thinking about your New Year’s resolutions.
Over this last year, it has become apparent that this must be the decade when positive environment change must be made, and as responsible businesses, it is time to look at the impact we are having. In terms of sourcing and confronting the issue with overstock buyfair.global aims to provide a solution to help your business engage with more sustainable solutions.
2019 has been an exciting year for us, starting with the official launch of the online platform in May. Since then we have had the pleasure of working with the over 170 Sellers who have already signed up, from over 18 different countries and we now have around 500 auctions live daily. We also completed a successful crowdfunding campaign raising over £250,000 from nearly 170 investors who are all keen to be part of our journey. This was a huge success for us and we were blown away by the response. It was an excellent way to end our year thanks to you.
In 2020 we are going to continue with this success, increasing the number of registered Sellers, and encouraging even more auctions to be created. Following on from our crowdfunding campaign, we are going to focus our efforts on buyer acquisition and raising awareness of the global overstock crisis. Watch out for further updates on this!
For Sellers, this is a great time if you haven’t already to start thinking about creating your Seller account. This doesn’t mean you have to create auctions right away it just means that we know you are interested in order to provide you with more information if needed and any guidance ready for you to upload your inventory and create auctions.
To create an account simply go to www.buyfair.global/register and follow the instructions for creating a Seller account. Within 24 hours you will receive an account authorisation email from our Customer Success Team. This is partly to help maintain the brand-safe environment of our marketplace, by ensuring that your brand and product meets our premium criteria, but also to help us get to know you, and your brand better. As such including as much information as possible in your reply to the Customer Success Team is helpful to us.
If you have already created your account as a Seller and it has been authorised, you can get ready for the New Year by finalising your account setup.
Before you can create your auctions there are a few steps to complete, these are:
Link a Stripe account
Add Shipping methods
Add Stock locations

If you have completed all of the above, you are one step ahead of the game and ready to upload your inventory and create your auctions!
Now couldn’t be a better time for new sellers to be joining the marketplace and existing sellers to be uploading more product. Buyer numbers are expected to increase dramatically within the next 6 months and you can increase your visibility on the site by having as much product on buyfair as possible.
For Buyers now is the perfect time of year to review where you source product from. Sourcing from buyfair.global allows you to have more control over where your stock is being shipped from. All items on buyfair are tagged by location so you can make an informed decision about where you are sourcing your stock from and reduce your carbon footprint. Additionally, all stock on buyfair is already produced and ready to ship. This means you are not tying up cash on, waiting a long time for orders to arrive and digging up more of the world's resources to create the product. As all product on buyfair is overstock, you are contributing to reducing the worlds global overstock crisis whilst sourcing premium product at significantly reduced prices; what's not to like!?
With fantastic auctions already available and more coming live in the New Year now is the perfect time to create an account. If you already have an account why not log in and have a look to see what is live. Remember auctions last for just 3-6-days so new product will be circulating daily.

The team will contact Sellers they know who are creating auctions of product that may fit your requirement, and let you know when any auctions that will be of interest are about to go live. We will also try our best to source the right sellers to suit your requirements if none are currently live.
